It’s Time to Reinvent and Redefine You!

Beauty & Style

Every so often people have the need for a change in their lives. It could be a physical change, a mental change or an emotional change. One thing is for sure, everyone needs a reinvention at times. This past summer, I had the pleasure of seeing women reinvent themselves in many different ways. Some went from assistants to leaders, teenagers to young women, working for a business to owning one, and even from single women to wives and mothers! Reinvention is not simply change, but an enhancement or reconditioning to life. One woman in particular caught my attention. I had the pleasure of chatting with her about the steps, emotions, struggles, and joys of re-inventing herself from a young student working in fashion, to a beautiful mother and now wife!

Ryan B. Anthony (RBA): How do you define yourself today?

Patricia Adams (PA): I define myself today as being strong, independent, patient, woman and most importantly mother.

RBA: Tell me a bit about who you were before marriage and becoming a mother.

PA: Before marriage and becoming a mother, I was young care free, laid back, and I took things day by day. I was always into fashion, so my studies were in Fashion Merchandising/Buyer. I was studying this during the time I started dating Sean, who is now my husband! I just wanted to have fun, and enjoy my life to the fullest.

RBA: How did becoming a mother and a wife change your perspective on your life?

PA: I realized that I had to take my life seriously and my awareness about my life got stronger. Taking care of my responsibilities was important to me, I felt like I became an adult while still enjoying my life as a 25 year-old woman.

RBA: Do you feel like you reinvented yourself in this new role as a mother and a wife?

PA: I had to evolve into a mother and a wife. I guess my motherly instincts kicked in. Nurturing is vital in this new role, but I feel like I’m the same person with just some minor adjustments, I have a family now.

RBA: What can you tell other women who want to reinvent themselves or take on major new roles in their lives?

PA: Well, for the women who desire to become mothers, be ready, have patience and know your strengths. For women in general, know what it is that you want to do because if you’re not sure than you can’t make it happen. My saying is no regrets, no burdens, and no worries. Do what’s best for you.

I absolutely enjoyed this inspiring and motivating chat with Patricia Adams. She is a great representation of strong young women. She takes care of her responsibilities and lives life with joy and passion about her family and career. Having her as one of my clients is a true pleasure and meeting her family was an additional plus. If you take the steps to understand and love who you are now, then a reinvention would just be an elevation to who you already claim to be. Be confident in your decisions and have awareness of who you allow around you. Having persons filled with positive energy around you can only promote a better outcome for your desires and needs. Deciding to reinvent yourself is easy; knowing what you want to reinvent yourself into might be difficult if you don’t have a defined idea of who you are. Invent the better you, so you can reinvent the best in you! I’m just saying….
